Mid-Life in the Mountains Summer 2009
The
Adventure begins........
Please join us for an adventure- based experience to renew your sense of purpose and re-energize yourself personally and professionally.
Designed for men seeking new frontiers, this program will help participants increase self knowledge, reinvigorate old dreams and create new ones; more effectively manage life transitions, and learn new outdoor skills in the Alaskan wilderness. Each person will develop an individualized stress management tool kit to promote optimal health, focus, and performance.
We will be traveling to some of the most remote and pristine parts of Alaska to provide you with an experience that will strengthen your mind, body, and spirit. The trip includes kayaking among calving tidewater glaciers and trekking across Alpine tundra
Letting
Go
The nearly 24 hour sunlight will help us let go of our daily routines and charge our batteries. The mountains, rivers, and endless horizon will assist us in letting go of the busyness and distractions of our lives, releasing the tensions that we carry in our bodies, quieting the chattering in our minds and allowing us to open to spirit and the experience of being more fully alive.
Spiritual
Practice
Dr. Orchin will facilitate the connection to spirit through ritual and ceremony, qi gong, tai chi and yoga, deep relaxation and mindfulness, and dream work.
“It
was the experience of a lifetime and I will be eternally
grateful.”
--M.M. 2003 New Frontiers participant
